Ric Armstrong UKDBA Level 2 Coach, and founder of 54 Degrees Sport has seen the excitement of the children when they learn its dodgeball week in their School Programme. So we have set up a Dodgeball club so they can play all year round.
Dodgeball is the sport for all, it doesn't have any limitations and is great fun to play. It also has many benefits in developing Agility, Balance, Coordination as well as teamwork and tactics. It is a fast paced game and is a great way to keep fit and healthy for all ages.
As the club grows we are planning on developing Junior, Senior and Adult categories as well as holding regular Community and School Competitions.
54 Degrees Sport has teamed up with Newton Rigg College Sports Students to deliver a KS2 Level 2 Dodgeball Tournament.
The Competition is open to all Primary Schools in the Eden area for Years 5 & 6 with squads of 8 players - no limitations in place.
The Competition will take place all day on the 4th March 2016 with a round robin tournament in the morning and a knock-out in the afternoon.
We are in talks with other districts which could result in a Level 3 County Competition.
