Everyone knows the stresses that teachers go through, so at 54˚ Sport our experienced coaches can deliver high quality, structured and progressive Physical Education lessons to each respective age group, allowing the teacher to upskill their PE knowledge or to enable them PPA time to focus their valuable time elsewhere.
Our company has the philosophy to coach the ‘Whole Child’ as Sport has been identified as a very important vehicle for the development of skills in children that go beyond the track, pitch or gym; i.e. social, personal and interpersonal skills, self-confidence, self-worth, community cohesion and healthy lifestyles choices.
Within the ‘Whole Child’ philosophy, children are able to develop a wide number of capabilities through their participation in sport; i.e. Physical, Technical, Tactical, and Mental capabilities, as well as Personal and Social Development.
This development of Personal and Social capabilities can then be further broke down into essential life skills that will form the foundation of a child’s character as they grow up. These skills are; Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character & Caring, and Creativity.
All of these capabilities are all interlinked and through good quality coaching these skills can be promoted through Sport and Exercise through the Key Stages of the National Curriculum.
The sessions that we provide are all centred around FUN and allowing children to get a varied sporting experience. Early experiences of sport have been shown to greatly influence an individual’s future involvement and engagement that will encourage them to lead healthy and active lives.
There is something for every child with 54˚ Sport, as we are breaking the stereotype that boys play football and girls play netball. We provide these mainstream activities as well as many other extra-curricular sports that are inclusive to all children giving them the craved sporting experience.
54˚ Sport can offer After School Sports Clubs to complement PE lessons, which is often the perfect opportunity to let the children experience some extra-curricular activities such as Archery, Fencing and Tri-Golf etc.

The sessions are designed to develop and apply a broader range of skills to more sport specific activities through the further development of fundamentals in both isolation and combinations, as well as developing the understanding of tactics, positioning and performance evaluation.
These skills are applied to a range of more competitive games and activities to enable each child to take part in team, net and striking games, also including athletics, dance and gymnastics.
